3 Tips on Online Marketing
I think the first thing that every business owner should realize about online marketing is it takes any marketing strategy, like a map to going somewhere. How do we get from here to there? What's going to happen? And what do I need? So it's like a mechanic in a tool store saying, okay, I need these tools to work on this. Well, the same thing is true about online marketing. There are a lot of tools that are available to a business, but not every tool is right for every business. So a marketing strategy helps define what tools are really needed.
I think the second thing is proper expectations, understanding what do you expect to happen when you use this tool? Because oftentimes again, the business owners have been sold all kinds of things as the next big thing for marketing their business online and they really didn't know what to expect. And it could have been that what that tool was producing was all it could produce. But the business owner had different expectations. It's like having a website and your webmaster says, oh, you had 5,000 hits today. And you, the business owner, you're thinking, I didn't get any phone calls, nobody came to the store, nobody bought anything. So what is all this about? So you can see, you know, how frustrating it be with online tools for business owners. Its because they don't know, they don't know the difference between all the marketing tools available.
The third thing I think for business owners, is you need to have a strategy call with the marketing company that are going you choose.
